Michael Kidd: Evidence and Practice – Bridging the Gap in Primary Care
Professor Michael Kidd AO FAHMS is an Australian primary care and public health clinician and researcher. He is a Professor of Global Primary Care and Future Health Systems at the University of Oxford and Foundation Director of the International Centre for Future Health Systems at the University of New South Wales in Australia. In June 2025, he will become Chief Medical Officer of Australia – the first family doctor appointed to this role.
His keynote will explore how evidence and knowledge support are used—and sometimes misused—in primary care, and how to better bridge the gap between research and clinical reality.
